I joined the NUsolar team because I wanted to be part of a team that was doing something really cool and cutting-edge. I love the hands-on aspect of this kind of engineering and I believe it will end up being a valuable part of my education here at Northwestern.

2017 Project Manager

Our Welcome Meeting will be on Thursday,  Sep. 28th in Tech LR2 at 6:00 pm

How to Join

Our team welcomes all – in addition to undergrads at NU, grad students and high school students have been involved on the team in the past. We have tasks for everyone from any background or discipline. NUsolar is a completely student-run organization, so team members can take on a wide spectrum of responsibilities including engineering, manufacturing, operations, marketing and finance.

Ready to Join?

The team is hard at work both prepping SC6 for the Formula Sun Grand Prix (FSGP) in July 2016 and designing and building SC7, so there is always something to do. There’s no better time to join than right now!

Worksessions

Thu 6:30p-9:30p // Sat 12n-5:30p

There are two work sessions every week, as listed above. For Spring Quarter 2017, Thursday meetings are in Ford G.205 and Saturday work sessions are held in the Ford Engineering and Design Center and in our team workspace above SPAC.

Participation on the team can be flexible to fit your schedule. If you have to miss a worksession for midterms or illness, our leadership team will be happy to meet with you some other time to help you finish your projects.
