Diving into the fifth week of the spring quarter, the mechanical team started building the SC 7, based on the design developed in this winter. Having hands on machining, welding and polishing, the team is training and growing with the members while a new generation NU solar car is emerging.

Computer numerical control (CNC) machining is another technique the team members applied to accurately and rapidly cut metal parts. Though using machine is convenient in some case, it still took two hours for the CNC machine to almost complete a steering part.
